With 7 days left, media is attempting to whip up a frenzy. We capture what insanity and madness looks like in images.

Today’s photo carousel and short article come courtesy of China Daily. We will go out on a limb here and suggest, – from our feedback and reading of shoppers temperature locally- that this will again end up a lack luster event.

Probably much the same as last year – big sales, big numbers but no where near the huge growth of pre 2020 figures. We note that the “predictions” claimed in this article are based on interviews with 3000 Chinese- an extremely small sample compared to China’s overall shoppable population.

Again, we fall back to the old proverb:

“One swallow doth not a summer make.”

Possibly Aristotle?

Or, the record sales rush and boom on Monday is not necessarily an indication of how the rest of the 11/11 shopping festival will pan out.
Of course, we are probably wrong this time~

This “new” content first philosophy has been around pre digital.
In simple terms, content marketing creates marketing material targeted to a particular sector or niche shopper. Not everyone thinks, dresses or behave the same. Different people have different ideas. For success in China, your web site needs to be able to cater for that.

China Traffic Conversion

Ask any CMO, marketer or website owner to list the top three things they value, chances are traffic will figure. And for good reason. No traffic, no customers, no sales, no income, no business.
