E-commerce is a big driver of China’s economy. Just a few provinces stand out, but where exactly?

China Daily recently released a list of the top 100 counties in China by e-commerce competitiveness on May 29, weighting comprehensive evaluation of China’s county level regions based on network big data, county special research, social public attitude and expert evaluation.

The list implements the data analysis of the whole network, sets six network data evaluation dimensions such as website traffic index, user satisfaction, economic benefit and logistics service, and sets 120 key word labels such as daily user visits of shopping cart , payment conversion rate of shopping cart, shopping allowance, delivery speed and international logistics.

It’s no surprise the South East coast of China is home to most E-com in China with provinces such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian leading the way. But provinces can be further divided into towns or counties, as we explained in our earlier “Intro to Beijing” post below.

This weeks image gallery spotlights some of the top counties that generate the lion’s share of E-come traffic and business in China.

Our head image illustrates Jiangsu, a smaller province in China, not just beautiful. Also attractive economically for foreign brands.
